Xmas in Sydney

December was spent preparing for Xmas, enjoying Sydney weather and beaches as well as packing and preparing for Sanna and Oliver to move to Stockholm and Niclas to leave our home in the Kilns and move to Waverton for a while with the Fredrik.

Caught up with friends, Oliver finished year 1 at school and we celebrated Niclas birthday.

The weather was great and summer arrived.

First beachday of this season

As Oliver is not doing Nippers this season, due changes to times and moving to Sweden, we decided to go down to the beach every Sunday morning for our own "nippers".

The lagoon is not open to the sea yet, but Oliver had fun on his bodyboard anyway.

Mostly visualising himself on "the real thing" out on the waves...

He then decided to make a sand angel. Good choice - we will follow this up with a snow angel at the end of the year.

Oliver today decided he wanted to paint his little wooden table.
Well, we actually decided we should do that some time ago, but I havent got around
to buying the paint.
On the way home from dropping Niclas off at the Yachtclub for the sailing, Oliver asked
if we could paint the table.
As it was drizzly rain, I thought it would be a great idea.
We stopped at Bunnings and he got to choose the colours he wanted. Very exciting.
There was also a girl doing facepaintings on the kids in the shop and Oliver wanted to have a snake on his face.

We then went home and painted his table.

Spring has come to Sydney

Spring arrived on Saturday, well the temperature is a little low in the mornings, but day time it is great and the sun is shining.

On Saturday, Oliver had a very exciting day with alot of happings.


After tennis in the morning, we headed to the boatclub for  Spring celebrations, and there we met Malcolm Page, Australian Sailing Olympic Gold Medalist. Oliver got very shy when Malcolm spoke to him. He asked a question and got to hold the Gold Medal.

After this he and Niclas went on a sail past on Wailea, the boat Niclas races,
to start the new season.
After this they went by bus to the city and met Brainworth (a company Anurag works in) at the Opera house where they made a promotional video to launch the business.
They then took the Manly ferry (over a very windy harbour) and met Sanna there.
